About Us

The establishment of Legacy III was a huge undertaking; and, in order for the organization to become a reality, a lot of help was needed. By the grace of God, all that was needed was provided. Support came in the forms of family members and friends, board members and other volunteers, funding sources and donors, numerous housing and other social service agencies, institutions and businesses. Expressions of encouragement were given, direction was provided, and partnerships were developed. It is through the collective efforts of many people that Legacy III has been able to establish a powerful presence in our community.
In my experiences with Legacy III, the most valuable, and humble, lesson I learned was that the vision of Legacy III was not about me at all. The vision was about the organization becoming a source of strength for the women who would be served. It was also about people and agencies, businesses and institutions combining resources to ensure effective services would be made available to help women overcome homelessness and addictions.
